Welcome to Shepherd's House International Ministries

Shepherd’s House International Ministries is a compassionate, Christian outreach to those suffering from poverty, disease, and abandonment in the nation of Uganda, East Africa.

There are approximately 2 million orphans in Uganda…2 MILLION!

These are children who desperately need the love and nurture of a parent, and the encouragement and teaching that they lack because of their circumstances. They are bright and eager to learn but poverty often forces their dreams to die and poor diet robs them of the energy they need to prosper in school. Despair takes over as children literally die of malnutrition, poor hygiene, and even diarrhea.

It is estimated that nearly every person in sub-Saharan Africa has been personally affected by the AIDS pandemic in some way.

Despair and hopelessness occur in communities and families alike as they watch people die, one by one, from AIDS or malaria. Lack of economic prosperity in the communities and the country as a whole causes further sorrow as families struggle to survive in the harsh conditions where there is often no clean water, electricity, or sanitation.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

The church is indeed God’s change agent in the world today. He cares deeply for people who are suffering, and moves us to take action to relieve suffering where ever we meet it.

We are responding to the challenge and the call to help.

We are gathering an army together, from the nations of Uganda, Canada and abroad, to change this situation. Please partner with us to see Uganda prosper and her children blessed, healthy and happy. It is possible to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people with your help.

There is a generation just waiting to see what you…and God…will do.
